THTR:2175 Musical Theatre: Special Topics: The Works of Stephen Sondheim

Please email the audition video in mp4 format (or link and if necessary the password to your online audition)
to Mark Bruckner (mark-bruckner@uiowa.edu) by Monday, April 11th, 2022.

Online Audition Instructions:

• Prepare and perform 32 bars of a ballad from Golden Age or Contemporary musical; and 32 bars of an uptempo song from a musical. 
• The audition may be performed a capella or to a karaoke track
• There may be NO edits to the video
• If possible, try to frame to performance so that your whole body is seen.
• Keep the audition to 2 and a half minutes with introductions.

If you have already taken THTR:2170 Acting for Musical Theatre or were a String cast member, the audition is waived.  Contact Mark Bruckner to be granted special permission for the course.
