Wiki Cloud Migration Deadline

IMPORTANT!

On January 8th, 2024 the University of Iowa Wiki hosted at https://wiki.uiowa.edu will be shut down permanently. If you would like to continue using Confluence (Wiki) in the Cloud, you will need to request licenses by filling out this Workflow form if you haven't done so already.

For more information and other options for your content, please visit the Wiki Service Change Options and FAQs page. Your content from https://wiki.uiowa.edu will be available for migration upon request for two years (until 1/8/2026).

One particularly useful macro, especially for long pages with a lot of content, is the Table of Contents.

  1. To add a Table of Contents, click the Plus icon at the top of the editor, and select Table of Contents from the dropdown menu.
  2. From this menu, you can alter a number of parameters involving the Table of Contents, including whether it should be presented flat or as a list, the type of bullets the list uses, how much the heading should be indented, etc.
  3. The Table of Contents headers will pull from any Headings that are located in your page - you can add a heading anywhere by clicking the Paragraph button in the top-left of the editor and changing the selection to one of the Heading options.

  4. Once you have added the Table of Contents macro and added headings to your page, the result should look something like this (assuming you chose 'list' view in the Table of Contents macro):
