Advanced Acting Auditions for

Acting Special Topics: Meisner

Auditions held: Saturday, March 26 from 10am-11am in 166 TB

YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED ACTING II BY THE END OF THE CURRENT SEMESTER TO AUDITION. ALL STUDENTS WILL STILL NEED TO COMPLETE A SPECIAL PERMISSION FORM BEFORE THEY CAN ENROLL IN THE CLASS. FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE MARCH 28.

In Fall 2016, we will offer both:

• THTR:4144:0001 Acting: Special Topics – Meisner
  • Meisner requires successful completion of the Advanced Acting Audition AND a special permission form.
• THTR:4144:0002 Acting: Special Topics – Acting for the Camera
  
  • Acting for the Camera does NOT require the advanced audition. Only completion of Acting I and a special permission form are required.

Note: Beginning in the fall 2016 audition for spring 2017 offerings, students will be required to have taken (or be concurrently taking) Acting II, Voice for the Actor, AND Theatre Movement before they can audition for Advanced Acting. If you have questions about satisfying these additional requirements before the end of fall 2016, see Tiffany or Paul. Only Acting II is required for this current audition.

Students who have not been approved for Advanced Acting Courses:

Prepare one contemporary monologue; no longer than one and a half minutes, that you feel best demonstrates your strengths.

Students already approved for Advanced Acting Courses:

If you have auditioned for Advanced Acting previously and been passed on, you do not have to audition again.  If you were not passed on previously, you may audition again.
