On January 8th, 2024 the University of Iowa Wiki hosted at https://wiki.uiowa.edu will be shut down permanently. If you would like to continue using Confluence (Wiki) in the Cloud, you will need to request licenses by filling out this Workflow form if you haven't done so already.

For more information and other options for your content, please visit the Wiki Service Change Options and FAQs page. Your content from https://wiki.uiowa.edu will be available for migration upon request for two years (until 1/8/2026).

  • Creating a customized RSS Feed

The wiki has pre-built RSS Feeds available for every wiki space (see Subscribing to a wiki's RSS Feed), but it also allows the creation of custom RSS feeds. These can be used to aggregate information from multiple wikis or content types.

  1. On any page, click the Help menu and select Feed Builder.

  2. On the RSS Feed Builder page, you can select the types of content and the spaces to include in your feed.

  3. Click on 'Advanced Options' for more options.

  4. Under the Advanced Options you are able to
    1. Name your feed
    2. Restrict to specific labels (tags)
    3. Exclude certain spaces
    4. Specify the number and modification parameters

  5. After you have made your changes, select the 'Create RSS Feed' button.

  6. On the next page, select or copy the RSS feed link into your favorite RSS Reader.
