On January 8th, 2024 the University of Iowa Wiki hosted at https://wiki.uiowa.edu will be shut down permanently. If you would like to continue using Confluence (Wiki) in the Cloud, you will need to request licenses by filling out this Workflow form if you haven't done so already.

  • Adding a Page

After the wiki upgrade in May 2013, the option to add a page has moved.  Previously found in the Add menu, this ability has been moved to the blue Create button, now located in the upper left.

To Add a Page

  1. Navigate to the desired wiki space and page. Your new page will be created as a child page, underneath the current page.
  2. Selecting the blue Create button in the top-left will create a new page in the space that you are currently in.


  3. If you'd like to create content other than a blank page, you can click the three dots icon to the right of the Create button.  This will bring up a dialog box allowing you to choose the type of content you'd like to create.  Choose the appropriate option, and select Create.


  4. If you chose to create a new page, you will enter the editor.


  5. A title is required for the new page.  Enter the title in the 'New Page' text field.
  6. Enter in your content within the large text area.
  7. When you are done, select the blue Publish button in the lower right.
